AIRPORT FACILITIES

ARRIVAL
The Arrival hall is on the same level as you disembark, that is the first floor of this airport. As you disembark, you will notice that the airport is well sign-posted to direct you towards the correct departure channel and facilities.

INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC ARRIVAL
Once you disembark, the route that you would have to follow is clearly indicated through signages. Please note that there are dedicated arrival halls for domestic and international arrivals

DUTY-FREE SHOPPING
There are a total of three duty-free outlets here that offer a variety of exclusive gift and personal item. These range from the ever popular cigarettes and liquor to perfumes, cocolate, ties, scarves, toys and a myriad of other delights. The Eraman Emporium, a one-stop shopping centre for all airport users, is also located in this area. It stocks a variety of household items and provides services including tailoring and shoe repair.

IMMIGRATION
Nine immigration counters at the arrival concourse ensure minimal waiting time. Do ensure that all your travel documents and duly completed forms are in order before you reach the counter.

TROLLEYS
These are provided free-of-charge and are made available at the baggage claim carousels.

BAGGAGE
Two separate conveyors deliver baggage from international and domestic flights. These carousels are located in the saparate arrival hall dedicated to domestic and international arrivals.

LOST BAGGAGE
Whilst we hope you arrive minus any eventualities, should you miss your luggage upon arrival, do contact the airline concerned. For luggage lost after arrival ie. in airport taxi or coach, you can contact the airport taxi operator at Tel: 07-5991622 or coach service provider, Syarikat Pengangkutan Senai (SPS) at 07-5993976.

CUSTOMS
There are five customs lanes for international travellers, including a GREEN LANE for those who have nothing to declare. International travellers are allowed to bring into the country a maximum of litre of liquor, 200 cigarettes and personal items worth RM 200.

VIDEO CASSETTES, COMPACT AND LASER DISCS WILL REQUIRE CUSTOMS CLEARANCE
You are also required to declare to Customs or the Plant Quarantine Inspector any plants or parts of a plant such as seeds, cutting,flowers,fruits: soil samples, cultures of fungi, bacteria and viruses: and insects or any others vertebrate or invertebrate animals in your possession.
If you have visited any country in tropical America or the Caribbean during the last 30 days, this too should be declared to the Customs authorities.

A Police Permit is required for carriage of firearms

REMINDER :

TRAFFICKING IN ILLICIT DRUGS (DADAH) IS A SERIOUS OFFENCE IN MALAYSIA AND CARRIES THE DEATH PENALTY.

TRANSPORT
Public transport facilities are available throughout the opening hours of the airport. A number of car rental companies have representatives based at the airport and vehicles for hire are easily available here.

The airport taxi service operates between 0730 hours and 2200 hours daily. Coupons have to be purchased at the counter located just outside the International Arrival Hall. Charges from the airport to Johor Bahru town is RM20.00 and to Pasir Gudang Port is RM 40.00. Toll charges are to be borne by the passenger.

A more economical coach service is operated by Syarikat Pengangkutan Senai (SPS). These services operated between the airport and Johor Bahru town (stop at the Puteri Pan Pacific Hotel) and then proceeds to Singapore (stop at Novotel Inn). The fare to Johor Bahru town is RM4.00 and to Singapore is RM10.00.

There is also a public bus service operated by Syarikat Pengangkutan Maju. These buses ply between the airport and the Larkin Bus Terminal in Johor Bahru and the fare is RM2.00 per journey. (one way)

DEPARTURE
The Domestic and International departure areas are located on the first floor. Departure formalities should be carries out on the ground floor which is easily accessible via public or private transport.

INTERNATIONAL & DOMESTIC DEPARTURE
Once you have completed the check-in formalities the route that you would have to follow is indicated through signages. Please note that all departure are via a common departure hall. Passengers on international flight however, will have to complete immigration clearance before proceeding to the departure area.

CHECK IN
A total of 14 check in counters are available on the ground floor. Special counters are set apart and identified for First and Business Class travellers. The general check-in baggage allowance is 20kg for Economy Class and 30kg for First and Business Class passengers.

IMMIGRATION.
Six immigration counters at the departure area ensure minimal waiting time. Do ensure that all your travel documents are in order before you reach the counter.

BAGGAGE.
Passengers are allowed to carry only one cabin bag into the aircraft. This has to comply with a specified size. Bags or other items that exceed this size should be check-in . Cabin bag size can be checked at specific racks placed strategically for this purpose.

SNACK CORNER.
This can be found in the international / domestic departure lounge.

PROHIBITED ITEMS.
Carriage of firearms and weapons is prohibited without a valid Police Permit. Passengers are required to surrender these items at the security check point when they enter the departure area.

LOUNGES.
Two lounges for commercially important passengers (CIP) can be found on the ground floor. The charge for use of these lounges is RM200.00 per hours or part thereof. This fee includea welcome drink and assistance with check-in, baggage collection and boarding.

The Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge for First and Business Class passengers is situated on the first floor.

GENERAL AMENITIES

CAR PARK.
There are a total of 400 parkinglots available right in front of the Terminal building. Parking charges are RM1.20 per hour and RM21.20 per day (24 hours).

TELEPHONES.
Local and overseas call can be made from public phones located at the arrival and departure concourses as well as within the public areas at the airport. These telephones are card-operated and telephone card in denominations of RM5, RM10, RM20, and RM50 can be obtained at retail outlets within the airport. Approved credit cards can also be used at telephones that provide this facility.

BANK.
This is located within the public concourse on the ground floor and offers foreign exchange facalities.

POST OFFICE.
Located on the basement level, it operates between 0830 hrs and 1700hrs daily, except on Sundays and public holidays.

FACILITIES FOR THE DISABLED.
Ramps, elevators, telephones and specially designed toilets are available for disabled passengers at both the arrival and departure halls.

F & B OUTLETS
A fast food outlet can be found on the first floor and a regular restaurant is located on the ground floor. Both are accessible to the public.

PRAYER ROOMS FOR MUSLIMS
These can be found on the basement level and within the domestic and international departure halls.
